Fine Art Prints Technicolour Sunset I

Technicolour Sunset I

from $90.00

Technicolour Sunset I (Dee Why).

How the photo was taken:

I leave near Dee Why Beach. On a nice, summer evening, I'd take my camera to the beach to capture the sunset. The difference between Technicolour Sunsets I & II is I is shot during Blue Hour, where II is shot during Golden Hour.

The technique used in this photo is called 'motion blur'. It looks like a painting, but it is very much real and captured through the lens. You lower your camera's shutter speed, line up the horizon and pan left to right (or right to left), shooting a burst a photos. If your timing is right, you get the crest of a wave and a sharp horizon line; especially if you do it with a tripod :)

Technicolour Sunset I is printed on Ilford GALERIE Smooth Cotton Rag 310GSM (matt). This Cotton Rag offers a unique extra smooth surface with a sensual feel. It also provides one of the highest achievable Dmax currently available on the market, making it ideal for fine art photography as well as fine art printmaking.

With no optical brighteners and the longevity, image stability and a clean matt surface required for the very best in fine art printing, Smooth Cotton Rag is offered as the perfect choice for crisp detail.

Photography print only (no frame).

Print sizes:
12"x 18"
16" x 24"
