260713 - Going Manual
Manual focus. It’s rare that I don’t use autofocus, especially in my professional work. One part of going on photo walks is to experiment creatively; be it location, composition or technique.
Manual focus isn’t as hard as it sounds, especially when you are shooting at F8 or have focus peaking in-camera. However, it is another element to composing a photo that helps you slow down and enjoy the moment even more.
That’s what it’s all about at the end of the day:
Enjoyment.
All photos made with the Leica Q3 43. The blog continues below…
If you’ve gotten this far, allow me to give you a tip on the best ramen I’ve had since getting back from Japan:
Mensho Tokyo - North Sydney The North Sydney location is at Victoria Cross Station, 155 Miller Street. You can thank me later.
Speaking of Japan, I just realised I haven’t posted any of my photos from Tokyo (apart from those in my Street Photography page). That’ll be my next blog.
Have a great week,
DC
